The venue is 772 Dundas St W, just a block west of Bathurst Street. It’s housed in an unassuming concrete building with Carolina’s pizza restaurant below. Enter by ascending a flight of stairs to discover a space that’s more than just a room to wiggle. There are two lounge areas side by side. One has a long wrap-around red couch. The other area surrounds a small pool table. Luminescent art pieces, a fantasy tree, special lighting, and projections enhance the dance floor. The washroom is gender-neutral. The Budapest based HouseU Records was established by two close friends, Laszlo Magonyi and Viktor Vizi in 2017.
Both of them are lovers of House music and their dream was to build up and manage an own record label. Their goal is to build up an artist-centric label, which transmits quality productions on all around the world.
Despite of the label's short existence they already released more than 100 successful records. There are a lot of well known artists in their catalog such as: Andrey Exx, Antoine Clamaran or their own artist, the Earth n Days, who are keep counted as the Beatport Top 1 artists. HouseU went through a full update in 2020 and at the moment we can mention them as the most innovative label in the House genre.
