Philip George announced himself to the world with a bang in 2014 with his global hit record “Wish You Were Mine”. Previously he’d been releasing liquid drum and bass records under the moniker Woody with some success, but it was a trip to Ibiza in 2013 and the inspiring club experiences that went along with that which prompted him to fall in love with H ouse M usic and to try his hand at making some on his return. The result was the incredible Wish You Wer e Mine which sampled the legend ary Stevie Wonde r and led to the stuff of fairytale s Very quickly it became one of the most recognisable club tracks of 2014 and beyond, before going on to peak at number 2 in the UK main chart and being nominated for Best Si ngle at the 2015 Brit Awards. Phil’s place as a main player in the world of House Music was assured and an impressive touring schedule has taken him to every corner of the globe. Fast forward to 2024 and a more mature and musically cultured artist has developed as he explores more underground sounds, albeit produced with the high production values we’ve come to expect from such a successful artist.
