Cosmic Boys were the Montpellier duo of Sébastien Bevil and Gaby Meynadier, bringing techno, minimal and electro into productions and hybrid performances. Their sets divided the work between multi-track mixing and live percussion and samples, allowing the pair to reshape records as they played. The partnership grew through Scander, Bevil’s label, and later developed a more techno-focused outlet in Legend. Their catalogue also includes music for UMEK’s 1605, Popof’s Form and a Marc Houle remix on Minus. Childhood exposure to dance and trance, followed by Montpellier’s Le BarLive after-hours scene, helped shape their shared musical outlook. After more than a decade together, Cosmic Boys announced their farewell in 2025, closing a project built around both studio collaboration and performing as a pair.
