Intro:
Bobsan has been synonymous with "hopping" in Bratislava for more than two decades. Architect, music producer, remixer and DJ, who is currently dedicated to the most danceable form of house music, both in terms of sound and presentation on stage.
Bio:
Bobsan has been composing his own songs and playing in clubs and parties since 1999.
He started as a DJ playing exclusively Drum'n'bass from records, which led him to play on the first drum'n'bass stage at the Pohoda festival in 2001. After 2006, he became more interested in music genres other than Indie-Dance and open-format style of DJing, where different genres and completely different BPMs are mixed.
Bobsan was intuitively drawn to a more aggressive way of DJ playing with a lot of cue-pointing - the rhythmic triggering of parts of songs and thus the dynamic transition between songs. The goal is to show the audience how each movement of the DJ's hands will be reflected in the audible sound. After completing James Hype's Internet DJ course, his idea of what a DJ should perform behind the counter became concrete, and he is gradually trying to get there - to live DJ mashups of his own compositions and well-known vocal tracks.
Over the years, BOBSAN also improves its music production. Several successful remixes and club-quality compositions led to the release of the album FRYDAYS, on the prestigious Slovak label Gergaz, also on vinyl.
Bobsan and Marek_Drummer created a live DJ vs live drummer show that combines the dance club with the world of rock bands. Syrian vocalist Lara Abou Hamdan, co-author of the songs Mi Casa, The Boss and No Sleeping, makes these live shows special.
