Bronx Cheer is one of several production identities developed by British DJ and label owner Tim Nice. After years working under his own name, he shaped the alias around the broad church of house: disco colour, jackin’ rhythm, funk and tougher club pressure can all share the same set. That flexibility is practical rather than decorative. In a 2022 interview with his wife and occasional DJ partner Anna M, Nice described building three or four layers of sound by looping tracks and holding them in the mix, letting familiar records acquire a different shape. The Bronx Cheer catalogue follows a similarly collaborative logic, with recurring work alongside Paul Parsons, Jack Matter and Adri Block, and releases through Tall House Digital, Tall House Underground, PLAYEDiT and Gimme The Night. As both producer and label operator, Nice has made Bronx Cheer a durable outlet for house music that favours movement, combination and continuity over a single fixed subgenre.
