Markus Sommer, born in Seligenstadt and based in Berlin, is an internationally renowned DJ and producer. He founded the label Pager Records with Phil Evans in 2015. As a DJ, Markus has been shaping the global house and minimal scene for over a decade. He is resident at the legendary clubs Robert Johnson in Offenbach and Club der Visionäre in Berlin and has performed at top international clubs and venues around the world such as Fabric London, Concrete Paris, Closer Kiev, South America, Tokyo, Seoul and many more. Markus has his roots as a saxophonist in funk, soul, jazz and rock music. He has been playing in orchestras and big bands since his childhood and took his first steps in producing own music at the age of 17. Already during his kindergarten years, Markus diligently explored his dad's record collection and found himself in an extensive classic rock collection. Nowadays Markus owns a record collection “people would die for”. With his elegant mixing style, he skillfully brings classics and rarities together and makes every dancefloor shake.As a producer, his music has its own touch and is unmistakably influenced by his musical upbringing. A milestone in his discography is the album “Untitled Gemütlichkeiten”, which was released in 2019. To date, Markus has almost 40 releases on vinyl on renowned labels such as Imprints Records or Timeless Records.
