Biografie
Manao is the electronic project of Oswaldo Rodriguez, a Venezuelan artist based in Berlin. His productions and DJ sets connect Latin club music with UK bass, electro and jungle, drawing on his heritage while moving between different forms of underground dance music. Releases on International Chrome, Dance Trax, Turbo and Rekids run alongside a practice that also includes live performance, audiovisual work and curation.
He has performed at Berghain during CTM Festival and at spaces including Tresor's Globus and OXI. His involvement with Berlin's DRY collective brought event production and artistic programming into that work, while ONCA provides a platform for experimental club music and hybrid electronic projects. The International Chrome album RE:DUX gives his rhythmically varied production a longer form, following collaborations with artists including Dagga and Viikatory.
