Biografie

Liam Wilson brings trance’s emotional lift together with techno propulsion and hard-house energy, both as a producer and behind the decks. Based in Manchester, he developed through the city’s club circuit, playing nights including Goodgreef and Rong before appearances at Luminosity and Creamfields. His introduction to trance came through recorded sets by DJs such as Eddie Halliwell and Paul van Dyk; a pair of vinyl decks received at Christmas in 2001 turned that enthusiasm into practice. Wilson’s releases span FSOE, Subculture, Armada and Tidy Trax. “20 Stories,” written around his marriage proposal, reflects the personal emotion he brings to uplifting material, while his work with Nu NRG on “Freefall” and his remix of Hyperlogic’s “U Got the Love” connect him with earlier generations of trance and hard dance. He has spoken about the value of hearing different festival stages and experimenting beyond genre boundaries, an outlook reflected in his movement between melodic and harder sounds.
