Biografie

Several years had passed without a record that landed when, by his own account, Rene Amesz's 2013 remix of Mark Knight's 'Man With The Red Face' put his run back on course. The Dutch producer dates his start to 2004 and 'Back Into The Funk', which he says brought him to the notice of Sander Kleinenberg and the circle around him; his Toolroom run began three years later with a remix of Knight's 'Party Animal'. He has said the reception of 'Like It Deep', issued on Toolroom in 2015, caught him off guard. He has worked in Cubase for more than twenty-five years, and names among his studio staples the Valhalla Vintage Verb and Waves Abbey Road Chambers reverbs, an Arturia Minimoog V, and his own Toolroom sample packs, which he cuts up into fresh sounds.
