TOBEHONEST's music has moved from Latin-leaning tech house toward slower, synthesizer-led indie dance. The Los Angeles producer describes that change as finding a sound he feels fully comfortable standing behind, with personal listening still an important source of ideas.
Evil Ways began with a Willie Bobo recording he had grown up hearing and was rebuilt using just thirteen production channels. Releases through Black Book and Club Sweat include Fallin' / Danger and Pipe Down, alongside collaborations with Disco Lines. Performances at Sound Nightclub, Brooklyn Mirage and Concourse Project bring the developing studio direction into a wider touring circuit.
