This music industry legend, trailblazer, and currently one of the hottest DJ’s and producers on the underground electronic music scene...Green Velvet... came into existence more than 25 years ago. In 1993 Green Velvet launched Relief Records and since that time has been a constant presence in the industry. When this very eccentric, green Mohawk wearing Green Velvet emerged, he sent shock waves throughout the House and Techno music scenes. What was even more intriguing was his background. Born in the southern suburbs of Chicago, IL he has always been an active athlete and focused student determined to follow his dream of becoming a chemical engineer. While he excelled scholastically he was socially introverted, but always committed to finding ways to share his enthusiasm for living. Even today, more than 25 years later...it is difficult to go to any electronic music festival or set and not hear music from Green Velvet/Relief Records. Crowds everywhere sing along when notable hits like: Bigger than Prince, Flash, La La Land, Lazer Beams, Live Stream, Preacher Man, Shake and Pop, Sheeple, Suga, and Voicemail, are blasting across the airwaves. Part of the history of Green Velvet and Relief Records is all about the Love.... Love of the music...Love of the fans...Love of other artists. Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen, is a rare commodity in the world of House and Techno. While other producers might pander to the masses, Nielsen, never opts for a novelty approach, instead carving his own successful niche in a constant jostle for dance floor play.

Danish producer, Christian Nielsen is an artist who has seemed to come out of nowhere. Working in an office by day and developing his musical craft by night.

That said, his sound is a classic one, and one which has already made him popular – most notably on Kompakt, Noir, Play It Down, Kling Klong and Of Unsound Mind

Nielsen, however, is no flash in the pan, and is a producer who knows his way around the studio and has evolved musically buying tracks and studying legends like Kerri Chandler, Jimpster, Mr. V, Master At Work, Larry Heard, Moodymann and the late Frankie Knuckles.

A firm advocate of dance-floor ready house, Nielsen is one of the most interesting producers to arrive on our radar for some time, and if you’re a fan of electronic music, then you’ll no doubt be aware that we’re dealing with a man who’s stock is firmly on the rise.

Legend tells it that Jesse was born in a rundown motel in Little Havana (A small latin neighborhood in Miami) minutes after being conceived. Son to a Local Pimp, (who is oddly 10 years older than Jesse) Jesse was exposed to the art of Slangin' D as a young boy. His mother who at that time was a stage dancer for a popular local rap group called the "2 Live Crew", would work many shows for these artist and would sneak Jesse in as often as she could. Jesse's first exposure to Bass Music and Ass Clapping made a huge impression on him. 15 years later, Jesse applied his childhood experiences towards the development of a new visionary company known as "Mr. Nice Guy" . Considered as one of Miami's most promising, and forward thinking companies since Bang Bros. Jesse has managed to not only run this company but also star in several successful "Mr. Nice Guy" films including "How To Name A Porno", "Slangin That D", "Tales From An 8th Street Motel" and "This Hoe Gonna Get Some Dick". Always setting the bar higher, and higher. Jesse is the true definition of a Dick Slanger. Homeboy don't mess around, he means business.
