About Simone Zino

Bio

Simone Zino is a Milan-based DJ and producer whose techno combines strong percussion with an interest in melody. Piano playing preceded electronic production, while a move to Ibiza at nineteen helped develop his relationship with club culture. Residencies at Bolgia, Amnesia Milano and Rocket later taught him to build a night beyond its peak-time moments. His work has appeared on Joseph Capriati's Redimension and Sam Paganini's label, with Ratis providing an outlet of his own. Back to the Old School brought another connection through Kevin Saunderson's KMS. Visual presentation is part of the project too. A collaboration with designer Chiara Amico has brought tailored and reworked clothing into his performances, developed through a friendship in which the clothes' industrial details respond to the music.
