Bio

Doppenberg approaches trance through the piano, orchestral colour and the dramatic possibilities of classical composition. The Netherlands-based musician signed his first records to Flashover at seventeen, before developing a melodic production style that brings those foundations into a contemporary electronic setting. Alongside his solo work, he collaborates with Ahmed Helmy as HEL:BRG. DJing provides another outlet for his musical range: he particularly enjoys extended opening sets, where there is time to build an atmosphere gradually and explore beyond the most immediate peak-time tracks. That patient approach sits alongside the large melodies at the heart of his productions.
