About Hugo Rolan

Bio

Hugo Rolan’s techno grew out of two decades spent DJing in the underground scene of Asturias. Based in Oviedo, he developed his production skills gradually, learning software and hardware around a day job before bringing his studio work to a wider audience. His first album arrived on Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up Recordings in 2022, followed by work for Jeff Mills’ Axis label. His productions draw on that long experience as a selector, while his residency at Lanna Club keeps him connected to the local dance floor. Releases through Semantica have extended the reach of a career still closely tied to the Asturian scene where it began.
