Bio

Arkanzas's path into techno includes a fourteen-year pause. Lisbon DJ and producer Carlos Ourives began mixing at friends' gatherings after discovering clubs and electronic music in the 1990s, but put DJing aside in 2001 when he became a father. A production course helped bring him back in 2015, this time with his own tracks as well as selections for the dancefloor. Releases followed on Oxytech, Underground Roads, Techno Addicts and Construct Techno, and he now also runs Dark Squad Records. His recordings include Rave the Nation and Black Wizard with Guyel5-Sa, while his Alien Connection mixes document the DJ side of that renewed practice.
