About Tato Seco

Bio

Tato Seco is the project of Rosario DJ and producer Juan Martin Seco, whose progressive house draws on the weight of techno and the depth of more restrained club music. He began DJing in 2018 and has shared lineups with artists including Antrim, Fernando Ferreyra and Nicolas Rada. Production followed during the pandemic, initially with a laptop and a pair of small monitors. In a Sound Avenue interview, he described learning first with childhood friend Jose Duke of ABITY, then studying with Nicolas Petracca and MAEZBI. That practical, learning-led approach has carried his music to Mango Alley, Droid9 and Sound Avenue. Collaborations with Agustin Pengov and Ignacio Hernández sit alongside solo work, extending a practice he describes in terms of enjoying the process of making music.
