Bio
Tomas Briski was already making electronic music for several years before he was old enough to experience it in a club. Seeing Guy Mantzur at Córdoba’s Forja changed the direction of his work, opening a path from melodic techno towards progressive house. The Argentine producer grew up in a family of artists and taught himself production through long stretches of experimentation and online learning.
His records have found homes at The Soundgarden, Mango Alley and Juicebox Music, with support from Hernán Cattáneo and Nick Warren. Yet his listening extends well beyond progressive house: he names Willie Colón, Luis Miguel and John Williams among his influences. As a DJ, he looks for moments to interrupt a familiar groove with an unexpected record, whether an older favourite or something with a different structure. That appetite for detail and contrast also informs his studio work.
