Bio

Dip (IL) is the solo project of Avihai Assraf, a Tel Aviv DJ, producer and sound engineer who previously worked as part of Diploid. Psychedelic detail and patiently developing grooves shape his music, with the city's underground scene and the surrounding desert and Mediterranean landscapes informing its atmosphere. He also founded Grapes, extending his work beyond individual productions. Assraf's influences connect rhythmic experimentation with careful songwriting and production: he has singled out Atoms for Peace, Daft Punk and Mano Le Tough as important reference points. Regular work with Ben Biron forms another thread through the project, alongside his solo releases and remixes.
