Bio

Cortona is Enzo Amico's project for a new phase of a career rooted in record shops and progressive club music. Before adopting the name, Amico founded London's Plastic Fantastic shop and label, DJed from the early 1990s and held a residency at Type at The Cross. His production history includes Atomic Grater, Moroccan Blonde and Balearic Jukebox. The Cortona identity began with Foresta on Music To Die For and developed through releases on John Digweed's Bedrock, including Xtaci and Systematica. Remixes for artists such as Gai Barone and Tiefstone extend the project. It is a newer alias, but one informed by years spent selling, selecting and producing dance music.
