About Khabiar

Bio

Khabiar's techno is rooted in the craft of mixing several records at once. The Barcelona-based DJ began in the late 1990s and developed a three- and four-deck approach, building momentum through layers of rhythm. A competition win led to an early residency, with production becoming another part of his work from 2008. His music has since reached Tronic, BEK Audio, Planet Rhythm, ANAØH and Sway. Raw and hypnotic techno forms the centre of his selections, with vocals, melodic fragments and older club records providing contrast. The relationship with Jeton, from its New Breed series to his own EPs, is one expression of that long-running connection between studio work and practical experience behind the decks.
