Bio

Prestige approaches drum and bass from its heavier end, with The Prodigy among his early inspirations and producers such as Pendulum, DJ Fresh and Hazard shaping his listening. His music connects jump-up energy with a wider interest in bass-heavy production, developed through releases on ProgRAM, RAM Records and work with Tyke in the Playaz catalogue. That direct dancefloor focus does not mean a fixed studio formula. Discussing the Strange Creatures EP, Prestige described spending eight months writing and trying different methods from track to track. He also spoke about listening closely to individual sounds and production details, carrying that curiosity into his own work. The result is an approach in which the impact of a record matters, but so does finding a different way to achieve it.
