Alohn

Prieste5s is a Berlin-based electronic musician, live-coder, and visual artist. In her own productions, Prieste5s fuses versatile influences from across the genre spectrum - bass-heavy sounds, hypnotic techno elements, breakbeats, and experimental influences characterize her sonic palette.

Inspired by her fascination of the untouched wilderness, natural history, and geological exploration, Prieste5s’ sound is a synthesis of organic sound design and psychedelic atmospheres. Her music is an expression of the transience of experience, and the ephermerality of the natural world.

As a passionate live-coder and a member of Berlin’s Algorave community, Prieste5s has performed as a musical live-coder at Algoraves and club events alike. In 2022, she was one of two artists chosen by Brighter Sound for their From the Depths commission, a project celebrating the legacy of Drexciya and Transatlantic Exchange, in which she created a hybrid modular / live-coding live set together with UK artist All Trades.

As a producer, Prieste5s has released on labels including Black String Records, Underdub Records, Malör Records, Elements, From a Lost Place, Interlock, Madah Sounds, W133, and ara - About Recording Artists. She is also the founder of Immaterial Earth Records.
