About Rhadoo

Bio

Rhadoo’s DJing is closely bound to the community of producers and selectors around Romania’s minimal house and techno scene. With Raresh and Petre Inspirescu, he co-founded [a:rpia:r] in 2007 and performs as RPR Soundsystem, where three-way back-to-back sets turn their individual selections into a shared conversation. His history also includes Circoloco at DC10, alongside a sustained relationship with fabric. For fabric 72, recorded at home in Bucharest, he chose almost entirely unreleased music by friends, using the mix to introduce artists he felt deserved a wider audience. That appetite for unfamiliar music is matched by a production career spread across several aliases. Colorhadoo, used for Zanzibar on Amphia, is one outlet for his detailed, hypnotic approach: extended pieces in which small rhythmic and textural changes carry the movement.
