Coming from the eastern part of the Netherlands, Bastiaan van Vuuren, a.k.a. Bastian Benjamin, is a versatile artist infusing his creations with many influences, stemming from his background in classical piano to the dynamic realms of modular synthesis. Wander into a sonic escapade through the landscapes of Breaks, Dubstep, IDM, and Jungle, seasoned with field recordings and ambient soundscapes. Bastiaan crafts a captivating blend of lo-fi samples and hi-fi textures that emerge emotional depths.

Bastiaan was introduced to music at a young age, starting with piano lessons that would lay the foundation for his later work. Under his artist name, Bastiaan weaves together a musical narrative that is both sophisticated and experimental.

This experimental mindset has become a hallmark of Bastian's work and is evident in his music, which is characterized by contrasting elements, percussive drums, heavy bass, and analog recordings that bring the electronic instruments to life.
After his debut album 'Two Truth's released in 2020, Bastian started exploring the realm of modular synthesis, bass music, and composing for theatre. A big love for club music arose, and in 2023 his first club EP on Who's Susan was released. Later that year a 7-track collaboration EP with Dutch bass producer French II was released on Nerve Collect.
