About Hebbe

Bio

Rotterdam-based Hebbe works in dubstep's 140 BPM world, placing rhythmic flow and substantial low frequencies at the centre of his productions. He played guitar before committing to electronic music around 2014, and a production masterclass with June Miller's Mark Abis encouraged him to establish his own studio. Subway founder Nicon subsequently gave him early radio and DJ opportunities. Releases followed for Artikal, Crucial, SYSTEM, White Peach and DUPLOC, with tracks such as Skanking Alone and Yare showing different sides of his bass-led approach. Hebbe values time spent refining unreleased material rather than rushing it into circulation, and draws ideas from artists he admires without restricting his everyday listening to dubstep. He also runs Basskruit, a platform focused on Dutch and Belgian producers, alongside his own production and DJ work.
