Bio

Clotur is a Tunisian techno artist based in Paris, balancing his own productions with co-running Warok Music. His listening reaches beyond techno into IDM, electro, post-punk and jazz, an openness that began with discovering his cousin's record collection. Releases connected with Sublunar and Counterchange sit within that wider musical education. The label and solo project give him different kinds of creative work. Clotur has described stepping away from his own music to concentrate on Warok, then returning to unfinished tracks with a changed perspective. In the studio, synthesis and the treatment of sound through saturation are part of his toolkit. That combination of producing and curating provides both continuity and space to reconsider an idea before releasing it.
