Bio

Fresko brings house and techno into a more psychedelic, experimental space. Lisbon-based Francisco Barahona is also a visual artist, and his musical development began around the city's Warface collective, where he started DJing in 2012 alongside figures including VIL. Since then, his appearances have included Lux Frágil, Ministerium, Gare and LisbOn. Hayes Collective became an important home for his productions, releasing his debut album Is It in 2020. Work for Planet Rhythm and other labels extends a sound that draws on both older dance-music forms and contemporary techno. His background includes instrumental study and visual art, with an interest in translating ideas between disciplines. That broader practice sits behind a club career firmly connected to Lisbon's independent electronic scene.
