Bio

Jungle and drum & bass became Flat T’s musical home after an early start playing guitar in bands. Raised in Lowestoft and later based in Norwich, he discovered the music through mid-1990s tape packs featuring DJs such as Randall, Hype and Ray Keith. Studying music production in 2001 brought DJing and studio work together; meeting Dominator soon afterwards encouraged his move into darker drum & bass. His first release followed on Deadly Records in 2009. Work for Biological Beats, G13 and Heavy Cut extended the jump-up side of his catalogue, while releases on 36 Hertz returned to jungle’s rolling rhythms. Subsequent connections with Natty Dub and Ruffneck Ting place him within a network of labels spanning those related approaches.
