Bio

Hertz Collision is the techno project of Francesco Profeti, an Italian producer and DJ concerned with how rhythm, space and tension work together on a dancefloor. His tracks and sets move between hypnotic repetition and more direct physical impact, with the detail in the sound as important as its force. Releases connected to Truncate, CLR, Clergy and Sublunar reflect that range. The project began in 2009 as a partnership with Pietro Franchini, bringing together backgrounds in sound engineering and graphic design. Profeti has continued solo since 2019, while collaboration remains part of the music: his recurring work with Sciahri has produced a substantial shared body of techno. Appearances at Tresor, Radion, Tenax and Stereo Montréal belong to the DJ side of that development, where extended progression gives those tightly controlled rhythms room to unfold.
