 As a teenager Terence :Terry: spent much of his time doing some skateboard and hanging out in the first raves to be held in Paris, in a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. There, he discovered a menagerie of dance genres and he quickly developed a passion for diverse sounds that would inspire him to take to the decks, and influence him throughout the rest of his music career. Feeding his desire for original, rare cuts, Terence became a fixture at Paris’ famous flea- market Puces of Clignancourt, dealing in second-hand warehouse vinyl he found on trips to London. But, always on the hunt something new to excite him, he would often sneak away from his shop in search of jazz, soul, hip-hop and funk records to expand his ever-growing music collection.
Steadily building his name as a DJ/producer on the underground scene in Paris, Terence secured a number of residencies including ‘Afterparty Is Not A Crime’ at Nouveau Casino, one of the most hyped after parties around in 2003/4, and later in 2009, ‘Oui Now’ at Djoon where he hosted alongside the likes of Tania Vulcano, Seth Troxler and Clive Henry. His close alliance with the famous Freak n’Chic label saw him spinning at the Batofar and Rex Club whilst, further afield, his DJing took him from DC10 Ibiza, to Panoramabar and Watergate in Berlin, Goa Madrid and Fabric London.
Branching out and wanting to immerse himself in a new scene, Terence moved away from Paris for a few wild years in London, where he was embraced by the city’s underground and regularly appeared at seminal parties such as T-bar, Kubicle and Mulletover. This was not only a crucial time for Terence himself but also for the London scene, giving rise to a new generation of artists who have helped shape the progression of the city’s electronic music scene since the mid-2000s up to now. Being involved in such a fertile movement had a huge influence on Terence’s outlook, inspiring him to return to Paris with a fresh new take on his career.
So, in 2012, Terence felt it was time to launch his own label La Vie En Rose, quite simply to have a platform to develop and release a sound that could encompass a whole range of genres, taking influence from his very first experiences in the Paris rave scene. Since its inception La Vie En Rose has been responsible for several ubiquitous releases, including the killer ‘Living Lies’ by John Dimas, ‘Distraction Way’ by Terence and Hanfry Martinez (which included Dyed Soundorom’s exquisite remix of ‘Sunday Gathering’), Carlos Sanchez with ‘Timeless’ (including New
York legend Jovonn on remix duties) and Terence and Hanfry’s second superlative link up, ‘Cornelius Is Gaye’. The label continues to maintain a high level of musical output, representing the very best in avant-garde sounds from a selection of young talents from around Europe celebrating their # 39 release from the hands of Louie Fresco + a remix of Mateo Dufour & Carebears.

Deep in the Romanian wilderness, beyond the foggy wastelands and the drab greyness of the metropolitan district you can find the base of two musical wizards who invoke the spirit of the past to transmit a very modern interpretation of their nation's musical traditions.

They are known as Livio & Roby and they have been putting their own supernatural twist on house and techno for the past 10 years. Their connection with the global electronic music movement has been channeled via highly influential outlets such as Desolat, VIVa, Saved and Fumakilla. While their physical presence has been felt in a myriad of venues from Buenos Aires to Detroit, and across much of Europe. From dynamic DJ sets and innovative live performances to album projects and a constant flow of cutting edge, dancefloor-based productions the duo remain one of their nation's leading lights in the field.

The tribal rhythms, inspired by Romania's colourful history, penetrate your psyche: the organic instrumentation lifts your spirit; flutes and vocals combine with delicate chimes, while groovy basslines and solemn melodies create a magical concoction. It's a formula that caught the ears of their early supporters, Steve Lawler signed them up to VIVa Music and Berlin stalwart Woody introduced them to the city's music scene via his highly-respected Fumakilla label.

These early connections helped to spread Livio & Roby's unique blueprint throughout Europe, enchanting more and more influential figures. Next to fall under their spell was Loco Dice, who signed them to his Artist Alife agency and promptly released the seminal 'Mistique' – a track created in collaboration with the third member of this spellbinding outfit, George G, with whom they form Premiesku. Just like their unique partnership, Premiesku operates within its own confines – their live show is built around hardware that has been customised and reconfigured for their own use, without any computers involved. This gives them total freedom in their performances and allows them to express their own distinctive style.

Thanks to the consistently high quality of their output, Livio & Roby have been in constant demand around the globe, sharing the spirit of Romania with the clientele of clubs and festivals across North and South America, Europe and further afield. Today, their endless travels continue, as does their entrancing musical output, from EPs with labels such as Vakant, One Records and Cecille through to their debut Premiesku album, 'Indirect', which came via Desolat. Moving forward in their career saw further adventures around the planet: Premiesku reformed with new music and hit the road with their dazzling live act. Livio & Roby released their own concept album, titled 'Phantom Circle' on Desolat. The duo co-produced each track on Phantom Circle with one of ten different artists: Enzo Siragusa, Martin Buttrich, Guti, Julian Perez, Hector, Ryan Crosson, Cesar Merveille, Andrea Oliva and Premiesku. The album received wide media coverage, adoration from fans and praise from various music press outlets. Livio & Roby are only building on their momentum. Forthcoming releases on Vatos Locos and Mulen Records will bring their unique and evolving sound to more and more ears. With shows at legendary venues such as Printworks London already under their belts this year the story continues as the duo continue to innovate and carry on the legacy of their ancestors.

Born Canadian of Italian decent, Paolo Rocco first made his mark as a DJ in the Montreal House/Electronic music scene as a young talent who was technically gifted and always determined to deliver quality story telling sets. Playing an average of 150 gigs a year since 2006 Paolo’s primary goal on the decks has always been to give people the same feeling he gets when the sound of a hot record hits his ears. Expanding on his roots as a disk jockey, Paolo Rocco entered the international House scene as a producer with his remix of the Round Table Knights “Say What?!” released on Jesse Rose’s “Made To Play Records”. Since then, his remixes and original works have been supported by industry heavy weights like, Damian Lazarus, Jesse Rose, Franck Roger, DJ Sneak, Reboot, Noir, Dubfire, Pirupa, Catz n Dogz, M.A.N.D.Y., Maya Jane Coles, Michael Mayer, Dennis Ferrer and many more… His first ever digital single "Move Body, Move Forward" (Klasse Recordings) cracked Beatport's top 25 main chart while holding number 6 in the top 100 Deep House category. This was only the beginning...Since his debut as a producer he has remixed anthems like Reboot's "Enjoy Music", released on well-respected House Music imprints like Real Tone, Noir, Defected... And has been consistently receiving international support from heavyweights in the scene. Presently being a part of the Real Tone Records family not just as a producer but also as an artist; be on the look out for Paolo's future ever innovating projects.
