About Amelie Lens

Bio

Amelie Lens approaches fast, physical techno through both the records she makes and the rooms in which she plays them. Her Labyrinth residency in Hasselt provided the starting point for EXHALE in 2016, creating space for the sound and community she wanted around her. The nights grew into an international series and label, reaching DC-10 in Ibiza and Tomorrowland's Atmosphere tent. Alongside Lenske, EXHALE has given her a way to introduce other producers as well as develop her own work. The practical experience of DJing guides those decisions. From her Antwerp studio, she has described imagining a demo in a specific setting, whether deep into a night at RSO.BERLIN or on an Ibiza dancefloor. Selecting music, producing it and building nights remain closely connected parts of her career.
