Bio

Spartaque’s work extends beyond the booth into the infrastructure around techno. Born Vitalii Babii, the Ukrainian DJ and producer built two label platforms with distinct roles: IAMT and Codex Recordings. In an interview, he traced IAMT’s name to an earlier Kyiv event-company plan for an “I Am Techno” festival, while Codex became a newer outlet for tightly focused contemporary club records. That organisational instinct mirrors his production style—direct, high-pressure tracks designed to function clearly in a set—yet he has also spoken candidly about the uneven development of Ukraine’s techno scene and the need to create opportunities rather than wait for them. Together, the labels frame his career as much as touring does: one part artist, one part builder of the scene around him.
