Bio

Erik Bo's house music grows from a long attachment to funk, soul and the club culture shared by northern France and Belgium. Based in Lille, he produces and DJs across jackin' house and disco-influenced sounds, with releases on Guesthouse, Robsoul and Mood Funk. His Funk Mansion label, launched in 2009, has also released artists including Angelo Ferreri and Sonny Fodera. Belgian nights at H2O and the selections of DJ Kalky inspired Bo to buy his first Technics turntables and teach himself to mix. Bar residencies in Lille led to a slot at Tchouka Club, followed by appearances at Decadance and Café d'Anvers. After taking time away from DJing for family life, he returned through production with Tony Will before continuing solo. The label developed from that return, extending his involvement from playing records to helping release them.
