Bio

Steve Allen makes uplifting trance with a strong place for vocal songwriting. After establishing himself as one half of Allen & Envy, he developed a solo catalogue with singers including Cathy Burton, Sarah Lynn and Jess Morgan. His debut solo album Uplift brought those collaborations together with instrumental productions, giving a broader view of the music behind his DJ sets. Uplift also became a label, providing an outlet for his own work and other producers. Releases on Future Sound of Egypt and Armada, together with appearances at Luminosity Beach Festival, connect him to trance's international circuit. Teaching is another substantial part of his work: courses, individual coaching and detailed feedback allow him to share the practical process of turning an idea into a finished record.
