DJ Hybrid is a Jungle Drum & Bass Producer, DJ and Label Owner from the UK. He has been a fixture in the Drum & Bass scene for over a decade and has released music on some of the genre's most respected labels, including Ram Records, Born on Road, Jungle Cakes, Dnb Allstars & Deep in the Jungle to name a few.

Born and raised in the Midlands UK, DJ Hybrid started making music in his late teens, inspired by the UK's thriving music scene and the sounds of early Jungle, UK Garage and Drum & Bass. Over the years, he has honed his skills as a producer, drawing on a wide range of influences to create a signature sound that blends classic jungle breaks, deep basslines, and melodic hooks.

In addition to his work as a producer, DJ Hybrid is also known for his high-energy DJ sets, which have taken him to clubs and festivals around the world such as Boomtown, Glastonbury, Let It Roll and has toured internationally in US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Whether he's playing a small intimate club or a massive outdoor event, he always brings the same level of passion and dedication to his performances.

Today, DJ Hybrid is regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative producers in the D&B scene and also leader of the modern Jungle movement. He continues to push the boundaries of the genre with his music.

DJ Hybrid

Deekline is that rare figure in dance music, the seminal producer who balances the cutting edge and the mainstream with effortless flair. Boss man chief of the Hot Cakes/Jungle Cakes collective of producers, promoters and DJs, this bonafide bass music icon is currently experiencing a new lease of life as a legendary figure to a new generation of jungle, bass and garage artists.

Tracks such as Got to Believe, Deepa and jungle anthem Good to Have the Feelin, with the legendary Tippa Irie, have picked up play and support from DJs such as MistaJam and Annie Mac, on Radio 1 and 1Xtra.  His collaboration with General Levy and Ed Solo,  Have Some Fun, was also a massive hit on the airwaves.

In the studio, Deekline is a bonafide musical shapeshifter, his impressive diversity having seen him rework the likes of Armand Van Helden, Old Dirty Bastard and The Prodigy. His landmark, chart-topping Welcome to the Jungle mix series on Jungle Cakes has just reached its eighth volume, and upcoming projects include a new artist album alongside Specimen A, plus a big hand in the forthcoming Jungle Cakes x Trojan Records remix project.

Deekline

The pair first met in 1987, both living on Blackbird Leys estate in Oxford, England and brought together through a mutual love of hip-hop. Distracted by the arrival of hardcore in the early nineties, record collecting was quickly followed by DJing and eventually production.

Greenhalgh was the first into the studio, with "Freestyle Fanatic (EP)" as Q Project launching his career in 1991. However it was the establishment of the Legend imprint and specifically Greenhalgh's track "Champion Sound" from the "Return Of Q. Project", which really took their profile above and beyond the slew of anonymous white labels that were dominating the music at the time.

In 1994, the pair started recording together, with "Got To Believe" the first in a series of records which pushed the label away from the fizzling darkside movement and more towards the epic string sections and rolling beats which started to appear on labels like Lucky Spin Recordings, Basement Records and Good Looking Records.

After six years of recording singles for others, the pair established the C.I.A. label in the closing months of 1997 with the help of Brillo from Timeless Recordings. The release of "Silent Reign" for Goldie's label Metalheadz, breathed a new lease of life into the project, and the pair achieved a further boost with a well-timed Bad Company remix of "Champion Sound" which conjured further interest in what they were doing at their own label.

Their debut album "Advance" exposed a further field of interest, with downtempo experiments logged as a series of 'breaks' on the majority of their early EP's extended to some superb deep house, this breadth taken a step further with their Skindeep imprint which has forged broken beat to considerable acclaim.

Their pioneering of a revival in old-school sounds and arrangements, together with labels Digital UK and Reinforced Records, dominated drum & bass throughout 2001 and beyond
