Bio
Cravo is Lisbon artist Pedro Cravo, whose techno combines rhythmic drive with swing, syncopation and a desire to bring joy to the dancefloor. Reggae and dub preceded his move into techno, while audiovisual studies and early work as part of -2 helped form the background to his solo production.
He co-founded HAYES with fellow Portuguese producers, maintaining a particularly close working relationship with VIL through a shared studio. Releases on Klockworks, SK_eleven and Self Reflektion extend that music beyond the collective, alongside his own Carícia platform.
With Enkō and VIL, he also developed SUMMA, an event series at Lisbon's Outra Cena. Longer DJ slots and space for emerging local artists make curation part of the same outlook as his studio work: music developed through sustained relationships as well as individual records.
