About Ekis Ekis

Bio

Ekis Ekis is Pablo Aybar’s project for progressive house and melodic techno, shaped by immersive rhythms, sound design and a strong interest in collaboration. Working from Córdoba, Argentina, he has developed an international network through labels including Univack and Sound Avenue. The project began around 2016 as X-x, with experiments in G-house and bass house preceding its later melodic direction. Aybar approaches a track with an emotional idea already in mind, then develops bass and percussion around it. Sound design receives particular attention, often taking a dedicated session of its own. Beyond electronic music, the writing of Argentine rock musician Indio Solari has encouraged him to place personal meaning and metaphor inside his work. His partnerships and regular releases connect that individual perspective with producers across several continents.
