Bio

Krisztina Dányi, known by her stage name 'morningdeer' and 'WeAreGloria' is a Hungarian singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. She is classically trained and is best known for her experimental music associated with the Hungarian lo-fi/bedroom scene centred in Budapest. She made her first mixtapes at seven and started studying and writing music at 11. She debuted her current project 'WeAreGloiar' in 2020 with 'PTS', a music video directed by Kostil Luka (member of Kinopravda). With the unique use of visuals and deep fake technology, 'PTS' won the Hungarian Music Video Award for the best video in 2021 and was selected for 'The World of Music Video' exhibition by the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site at the Völklingen Ironworks. The exhibition displayed works of artists such as Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Lil Nas X, and Billie Eilish. Since the debut, a set of EPs has also got released under the Ukrainian label Masterskaya. She is an artificial person inspired by metamodernist ideas, especially the ambiguity of reality and the frailty of meaning. Kriszti experimented with EDM genre musical clichés and used her personal experiences about loss, anxiety and everyday life in digital capitalism to create WeAreGloria, with CAPA GRAND PRIZE winner photographer Éva Szombat.
