Bio
Euphonique combines high-energy jungle and drum & bass with a longstanding commitment to the community around it. From Manchester and now based in Bristol, she is a DJ, producer, broadcaster and mentor, with releases on Hospital, Born On Road, Jungle Cakes and Ruffneck Ting. Her performance history includes Glastonbury, Boomtown, Warehouse Project and fabric.
Subwoofah began as a Manchester event and expanded into a label and studio community, providing opportunities for artists including Epicentre and Sl8r. Supporting new talent and improving representation are explicit parts of her work. A background as a drummer also informs her production, from building layered percussion to shifting the placement of a kick. Teaching has kept that process inquisitive: questions from students often send her back into the studio to investigate a technique herself.
