Steve Hill connects the UK hard-dance tradition with Sydney's Masif scene. The New Zealand-born DJ and producer developed a long association with Frantic, alongside appearances at Hard House Academy, Dance Valley and Defqon. His music draws on the euphoria of hard trance and the direct energy of hard dance, with both vocal records and tougher club productions in his catalogue.
A durable studio partnership with Technikal has been central to that work. The pair developed their sound across the distance between Britain and Australia, and their contribution to Example's All the Wrong Places brought it into a different songwriting context.
Based in Sydney, Hill remains involved with Masif events while continuing to work with other producers. Collaborations with Technikal and Technikore reflect a career in which the club community and the shared studio session have remained closely connected.
