Bio

Goom Gum make melodic techno for large spaces, with a particular ear for the vocal hook that can hold a crowd's attention. Formed in 2018, the DJ and production duo moved from the Depeche Mode-sampling It's a Lot to collaborations with Pete Tong on Signal and Argy on Pantheon. The latter became a defining release in their relationship with Afterlife, bringing choral textures into the centre of their club sound. Their performing career has taken them to Tomorrowland, Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa, with sets built largely around their own material. Releases for Zamna and Tomorrowland Music sit alongside Avtook, the imprint they established to give their productions a more direct route to listeners. They have described their strongest ideas as arriving quickly, sometimes becoming finished tracks in a few days: the challenge is recognising a clear direction and following it before the initial excitement disappears.
