Bio

Goodboys place the voice at the centre of club music. The London-based duo of Josh Grimmett and Ethan Shore combine songwriting, production and live vocals, making hooks that can carry a pop song without losing their connection to a DJ-led dance floor. Their collaboration with MEDUZA on Piece of Your Heart made that approach widely recognisable, reaching number two in the UK and earning a Grammy nomination. Lose Control, with MEDUZA and Becky Hill, extended the partnership. Those records grew out of a wider creative practice rather than a conventional singer-and-backing-track arrangement. Grimmett and Shore work as writers and producers as well as performers, and their collaborations have taken them through the sounds of artists including Vintage Culture, Armin van Buuren, KREAM and Korolova. Their own releases and DJ performances leave room for both melody and the heavier movement of a club set. The common thread is a concise vocal idea, shaped to feel immediate while becoming part of the track's rhythmic structure.
