Bio

Talamasca is Cédric Dassulle’s psychedelic-trance project, built around prominent melodies and the contrast between darker passages and brighter, expansive moments. He began DJing as Lestat in 1992 and launched Talamasca in the mid-1990s, gradually moving from DJ appearances into live performances of his own material. His long association with Dacru has included projects that look back through Goa trance’s musical history as well as new dancefloor work, while a relationship with United Beats gives him another outlet. Albums are an important part of his practice: beyond the fast-moving trance catalogue, Music for Traveling Minds explored a slower, chill-out setting during 2020. That willingness to change pace sits alongside a touring career extending from European events to audiences in Brazil and India.
