Ferry Tayle's music centres on uplifting trance, with an emphasis on melody and the scale of a live audience. Based in Strasbourg, he first developed his musical interests through saxophone and jazz before electronic music, particularly Jean-Michel Jarre, drew him towards production. His partnership with Airwave as Cape Town and the album Aviateur preceded a substantial solo career, including The Wizard and releases on Enhanced and Future Sound of Egypt. He has performed at A State of Trance and Luminosity and toured beyond Europe to the United States and Australia. In 2017 he co-founded Fables with Dan Stone, creating a home for the melodic trance they champion. His partnership with Tonks as Mirage adds another dimension: a live format using keyboards and drum machines, taking his music beyond the conventional DJ set.
