Myk Derill’s transit into electronic dance music was a steady one. His early influences involved a plethora of musical genres & that eclecticism still motivates him today. A rock edge, punk stance, funk / hip hop riffs all rooted their way in as ideas to expand. In 2005, he began to produce & turn those ideas into reality. At first, Myk found inspiration from his friends at Fachwerk Records but then went on to decisively strengthen his own unrivaled sound
Steppin up to the present & after numerous releases, he now produces exclusively on Knotweed Records . He continues to establish an output with
Credo,Gynoid Audio etc…Myk’s productivity fuses commanding basslines / rhythmic sections with dub, detroit flavors, & futuristic atmospheres / melodies
