Bio

Dungeon Kru is a drum & bass collective with Toronto at its centre and collaborators on both sides of the Atlantic. Founded in 2003 by Will Gyalis and DJ Slick, it expanded to include Bandit Emcee, Visuals, Liondub and B-PLEXX, bringing production and vocal contributions into a shared project. Its music connects forceful drum programming and bass with reggae and dancehall influences, a relationship heard in releases such as Forward and the crew’s Buju Banton bootleg. Work with Liondub International has been an important part of that history, including a collaboration with Maurizzle on Bounty Hunters for Uproar Audio. Other releases have appeared through Dispatch, Jungle Cakes and Renegade Hardware, while the Baseball Bat EP with Vital connects them to Serial Killaz. Their guest appearance on Kool FM’s Visionary Mix Show provides another outlet for a collective whose music is made for both the soundsystem and the DJ booth.
