David Duriez is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine the nations underground music. Brique Rouge has released deep house, jacking house, tech-house, acid house, vocal anthems and much more... Definitely a label for open-minded people, not stuck in one genre of House. 

In a time where two thirds of the tracks being released each week are sounding the same, either a click and paste formula track, a midi template used ad nauseum or just a classic being sampled to death, Duriez still think there's hope for House & Techno and focus to keep it true, groovy, creative, with soul. .

There are producers whose work is immediately associated with success, and whose talent for seeking out new national and international voices is celebrated. In Germany there are only a few such figures in the music industry. Of these, there are even less whose Discography reads like a “Who’s Who” of the music scene. Mousse T. is one of those very few, whose songs “Horny” and “Sex Bomb” have provided a good example of the power harnessed when intuition and precision come together. But who is the person behind these productions which consistently find their way into the charts? Mustafa Gündogdu, alias Mousse T., born in 1966 in Hagen, Germany, describes his success succinctly: “I am a music lover with humour, who gives more than 100% for his love”. This love of music brought him to Hanover in 1990 where he set up his own studio while he was still keyboarder for the band “Fun Key B”. Two years later he gets to know the owner of Peppermint Park Studios and extends the label into dance floor music. At the same time, Mousse T. pursues his ongoing passion for DJing with great enthusiasm. In 1993 he founds, along with the owners of Peppermint Park and his partner Errol Rennalls, the label “Peppermint Jam Records” at a time when Mousse T. is starting to make a name for himself as a DJ on a wider stage. Several productions with international greats such as Ziggy Marley, Mezzoforte and Randy Crawford are the consequence. In 1998 the single “Horny” catapults the name “MOUSSE T.” into the international charts and establishes him as a solo artist. In the same year, further productions for musicians including Michael Jackson cause a sensation and bring him a Grammy nomination as “best re-mixer”. One might be forgiven for thinking that Mousse T. would rest on his laurels after such outstanding success. Quite the contrary: His curiosity for experimenting with new musical variations combined with his outstanding creative ability has driven him on. “Of course I feel very proud when I look at my Discography. But success for me is important mainly as a basis on which my further work as an artist can flourish. Apart from that, success is, of course, a great motivation and source of energy so that I can continue to give “more than 100%”.” This creativity and variation can also be seen in his new album “All Nite Madness”. “As far as my music is concerned I try to implement new ideas, and my love of music doesn’t draw a line at any particular musical style. So I try to mix lots of styles and develop interesting new songs and sounds that way.” These thoughts are also the basis for the choice of artists on the new album, which includes Emma Lanford, Kathleen Chaplin, Roachford and Calvin Lynch. Mousse T’s preference for a mixture of styles is clearly evident: “It is obviously important for me that the singers with whom I work have a fantastic voice, but they also have to have their own unmistakeable style. If, over and above that, they are great people, then we can do business.” The fact that MOUSSE T. values people so highly is shown in his effectiveness when working in a team. Regardless of a person’s stature, whether one of the music greats or an unknown musician, if the chemistry is right the cooperation flourishes through humour and enthusiasm and with the degree of discipline necessary for the implementation of creative ideas. During the frenetic phase of a track’s production, MOUSSE T.’s producer side emerges, as he controls from the background. However, the first hearing of new creations takes place in his closest circle, mostly with partner Errol Rennalls, with whom he also writes songs. “Errol and I normally function as the “idea’s man” and the “hook line man”. I often give a certain key word or topic and Errol fills this initial musical framework with meaning.” This perfect synergy can also be found on “All Nite Madness”. Whether you take the first single of the album “Is It ’Cos I’m Cool?“, the soulful “Monotony“, “Turn Me On“ with Kathleen Chaplin’s crystal clear vocals or “Underground“ on which ex-Stranglers frontman Hugh Cornwell lends his voice – the integrity of the creator’s style is evident on every track. The single „Is It’ Cos I’m Cool?“ has already developed into a huge hit in Germany and emphasises once again the enormous potential of MOUSSE T. songs. The LP, released on 5 April 2004 will captivate music lovers of a wide-range of styles. Mousse T. continues to deliver the goods in 2005. Right on time for the release of the ipod Mousse T. Special Edition in early november he will release his new single “Horny As A Dandy” with a new album following in 2006. After a few selected promo-gigs for his ipod Mousse T. will promote the new releases with a long clubtour throughout Europe.

Change is inevitable, and nowhere is this more prevalent than in the world of dance music. Analog gives way to digital, trends come and go, yet NYC’s DJ Joeski remains at the top of his game, and now, in the midst of his third decade as one of house music’s most sought-after stars, his momentum shows no signs of slowing.

Joeski’s trajectory can be traced back to 1991, when he burst onto the NYC house music scene as a founding member of The Chocolate Factory DJ collective. He delighted crowds at Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium and NASA, helped turn “Save The Robots” into a NYC afterhours institution and earned his first residency at “Together” parties at the legendary Roxy, playing alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Louie Vega and Roger Sanchez.

Already a fixture on the U.S. and Canadian club circuit,in the late 90’s Joeski added production to his repetoire, building his own recording studio and spending the next few years mastering his craft. In 2000 he burst into the clubs and onto the charts with hit after hit on Electrik Soul, Siesta, Chez and Camouflage, emerging as one of the most sought-after DJs, remixers and producers in the scene.

In 2001 Joeski launched Maya Records, with releases like “Hustler’s Revenge” and his collaboration with DJ Chus on “El Amor” propelling the label onto the forefront of the U.S. house music sound that would become a global phenomenon and win him worldwide acclaim from clubbers and fellow DJs alike.

Demand for his studio skills grew exponentially over the next decade, with Joeski producing and remixing for the likes of NRK, Ministry of Sound, Defected, Bedrock, Nervous, Cajual and KMS ,helping catapult him further into the ranks of the house music elite.

Entering its 16th year, his Maya label continues a steady output of quality material that remain fixtures on the Beatport and Traxsource tech and deep house charts, with a robust release schedule that shows no signs of slowing any time soon.

January 2017 began with Joeski once again hard at work in the studio, teaming up with Harry Romero (as HR+Ski) on “Dem Tings” for Maya, working solo on “Lessons in Dub” for Poker Flat and also releasing the 14th installment in his “Maya Sessions” podcast on Pioneer DJ Radio.

The new music and remixes continued with the release of “Mind Function” on Maya and “Tribute to Obatala” on Crosstown Rebels, dropped by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show in February.

Joeski’s touring schedule continues to be as prolific as his studio output, headlining clubs from Acapulco to Helsinki plus a booked-out week spent at Miami Music Week 2017. In March all three tracks from “Tribute to Obatala” simultaneously climbed onto Beatport’s Tech House Top 100, with Joeski ending the month as featured artist on John Digweed’s “Transitions” podcast.

New music continued to flow in April including the release of Dancing in Space” on Kinetika and “Deep Elements EP” on Kitball, while “Mind Function” on Maya climbed into the Traxsource Tech House Top-10. Returning home from a tour of Mexico Joeski hit the studio once again, jamming with SF’s legendary Doc Martin on an upcoming collaboration and putting the finishing touches on his next solo Maya release.

This summer Joeski will once again be a fixture on the global tour circuit with performances at both Do Not Sleep and Dennis Ferrer’s Misfits Party in Ibiza, extensive tours of Australia, New Zealand, South America and Europe while back stateside he and Harry Romero continue their monthly Yage night at Brooklyn’s Output.

Fueled by his genuine love of the music, there’s no doubt that Joeski will continue to evolve both behind the decks and in the studio, captivating new generations of club-goers and maintaining his place as one of dance music’s most enduring talents.

Harry had the privilege of being raised in a musical family. His mother soaked the air with the Latin rhythms of merengue and cumbia, while his father, a former opera tenor, practiced his scales and listened to Beethoven. These early influences drive Harry to constantly look to expand musically... and he has.Run-DMC, along with the Latin-freestyle movement in the 80s, inspired Choo-Choo (the train conductor's cap he's worn since childhood may have something to do with the nickname). Choo-Choo jump-started his career as a DJ with a high-voltage performance at a New Jersey dance club. From there, he was taken under the wing of Millennium Music, a management company and production team. Harry worked with their label, Gossip Records (distributed by Strictly Rhythm), creating demos and gathering some useful industry-related knowledge.His first record, Soulfuric "Urban Turban" was clearly ahead of its time, weaving Arabic scatting with house grooves. Strictly Rhythm grabbed the record for release in 1995, and asked him to release a follow-up Soulfuric record, called "Sea Of Passion" which captured more Latin elements. Both records were licensed extensively, catapulting Harry's name and music out into the world.A number of releases followed for labels like Emotive, Sex Mania, Power Music, and Gossip Records. One of Harry's major breaks resulted from C&C Music Factory's Robert Clivilles' interest in one of Harry's creations named "Il Futuro", a house track with an Italian vocal from "World" EP.Robert asked Harry to write, produce, and arrange a song, "Saturday Night" for his 1996 LP "Robi-Rob's Club World". As expected, lots of work followed for Harry.Collaborations with his labelmates and others have been extremely important for Harry as he continues to develop his name and his body of work. Constipated Monkeys, Harry's acclaimed partnership with Jose Nunez, has produced several percussive, funky tracks including "Cro-Magnon" and "Erectus" (Subliminal Records). The success of these tracks has launched the team into another wave of production - their 12" "Sunshine" was released this summer. In addition, Constipated Monkeys' worldwide reputation as producers and DJs has earned them residencies at both The Ministry of Sound in London and Pacha in Ibiza, Spain.To top off Harry's stream of new solo releases, a much- anticipated follow-up track with the stunning vocalist Inaya Day will succeed last year's tremendous Subliminal release "Just Can't Get Enough". Harry describes this record as "chalk-full of 80s rock n' roll and Latin roots."He is an impressive young man with an honest and zealous dedication to improving and honing his talents. He recognizes Dave Darlington, an engineer he has worked closely with, for inspiring him to sharpen his technical skills, and he credits the many great musicians and vocalists he's worked with for reminding him that it's all about the music.
