Louie Gomez has been a driving force in the Chicago house music scene since its inception. A true pioneer, he played a crucial role in shaping the genre by discovering the then-unknown Jamie Principle and producing the original Dub Vocal Mix of "Your Love", a track that would become one of house music’s most influential anthems. Alongside another of his early productions, "Change", these tracks were staples in Frankie Knuckles' legendary sets at The Warehouse and The Power Plant in the early 1980s.

After refining his skills as an audio engineer in Chicago’s top studios, Louie expanded his craft, evolving into a producer, remixer, and DJ known for his versatile sound. From deep and soulful grooves to raw, dancefloor-driven rhythms, his productions always push beyond the ordinary.

In 2015, he co-founded "Bassment Tapes Records" with longtime friend Jesse Rivera, building a multi-faceted platform that spans live DJ sets, music videos, and a diverse roster of global talent. His influence extends beyond production; mentoring DJs like Lori Branch and Craig Loftis and contributing to the ever-evolving house music movement.

Louie continues to shape Chicago’s nightlife with his DJ residency at "The Lodge (Chicago)" alongside Grand High Priest and Michael Winston. He also reaches a worldwide audience with "Gruvbox", a monthly livestream with Jesse Rivera, and his solo set "Happy Hour" on "Sugar Shack Radio". Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Louie Gomez remains a vital force in house music’s past, present, and future.
