Working as an electrician in his day job, he has carved out a reputation for producing powerful, hard-hitting tracks that span the full spectrum of drum and bass, from neurofunk to jump-up, with an unmistakable signature sound that resonates with fans and fellow producers alike. He first rose to prominence in the late 2010s with a series of breakthrough releases that quickly caught the attention of major drum'n'bass labels and DJs. His distinct blend of heavy basslines, sharp drums, and dark, atmospheric textures has made him a favourite within the scene. Tracks like 2018's breakthrough "Sound of a Feeling" and EPs such as Cabin Fever (2019) and Lighter Thief (2022) showcase his unique approach to drum'n'bass that focuses on precision, energy, and innovation. A versatile producer, Nick the Lot has worked with a range of prominent labels, including Jungle Cakes, Low Down Deep, Born on Road, and his own imprint Pick the Lock, while also gaining support from major DJs across the drum'n'bass world.
