Eddy’s musical journey began in the town of Palermo in Sicily, Italy, where his love of rhythm and beats saw him play drums in bands since the tender age of twelve. He later graduated to Palermo’s European School of Jazz where he took his talent to the next level by studying piano, guitar and percussion.

Eddy began producing in 2010, taking inspiration from his classical training and influence from his love for the old school, particularly 90’s hip hop in the form of Cypress Hill, Tribe Called Quest and Ice Cube, to create his own unique form of tech house and techno.

Nicolas Barnes

Swedish-based DJ and techno producer Markus Axelsson, known by his alias MarAxe, has firmly established himself as one of the leading exports of the Swedish techno scene. Since 2020, he has released over 750 tracks, earning a spot among the top 10 best-selling hard techno producers of 2024 and leaving a significant mark on the global stage.

His productions are defined by a hard-hitting sound infused with classic hardgroove and hypnotic influences. Many of his releases have charted on both Beatport and Juno Download. Notably, his Senga EP (Planet Rhythm, 2023) reached number one on the Juno Download bestseller chart, as did his Zulu EP (Hydraulix, 2024).

MarAxe first gained recognition with his contribution to the NL 500 compilation by Naked Lunch Records in early 2020. Since then, he has released on an impressive roster of respected labels, including Hydraulix, Naked Lunch, Planet Rhythm, Soma, Sway, Suara, Kne’Deep, and Remain Records, to name just a few.

As a DJ, MarAxe brings the same intensity and precision found in his productions. He has performed at both domestic and international events, sharing the stage with acclaimed artists such as Axel Karakasis, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Deas, Aida Arko, Speedy J, and more.

Today, MarAxe enjoys support from some of the most influential names in techno, including Carl Cox, DJ Rush, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Rebekah, A.Paul, Hertz, and Umek. With his relentless output and growing recognition, MarAxe is well on his way to cementing his place within the global techno landscape.
